Popular Bathroom Trends For 2018
Whilst it’s important to keep your own sense of style and not change your decor to suit what’s currently trending, knowing what styles are currently in the spotlight can provide a much-needed source of inspiration and help you to make the most of your own bathroom space.
EGP Plumbers discusses some of the top bathroom trends for 2018 to help you plan your own ideal space.
Spa Style
For many of us, going to a spa is a rare treat that we often save for special occasions, but what if you could recreate the feeling of a spa inside your own home? Your bathroom should strike the balance between being a functional space and one that lets you unwind and relax. To create the feeling of a spa inside your own home, incorporate some statement features to the space. Consider freestanding or sunken baths, attention-grabbing taps or a large mirror that reflects a stylish patterned floor or a floor to ceiling tiled wall.
Lighting
The lighting used in any room can make a significant difference to the ambience and even how the colours around the space are picked up. To illuminate a particular area that is highly used, consider incorporating spotlights or bath bar lights.
For an elegant touch, consider using drop down glass pendants, singularly or in a cluster of three, that drop down at varying heights.
Storage
Although we often put a lot of thought into the style of bathroom suite we will invest in, the same cannot always be said about the storage options. If you’ve just had your perfect bathroom fitted, don’t clutter it with products and flannels. Instead, make your storage apart of the style of your bathroom. If you don’t have enough space for a large cabinet, get creative. Use the space under your sink or add in stacked wicker baskets or cleverly placed stacked shelving.
